Nonwoven fabricated products include sand-filled bags, geotubes, and industrial filters and lining.

Applications of Nonwoven go into both industrial and civil engineering works.

In civil engineering applications, they are the most common type of Geotextiles. They are used for filtration and separation functions. The product is virtually inert to chemical and biological attacks. Its strength and elongation properties in heavier grades make it suitable for use in coastal defense applications providing protection against erosion.

Nonwovens when combined with reinforcing polyester yarns  to form geo-composites can be manufactured for applications requiring the properties of a nonwoven with increased strength.
