Kiaramat is EMAS KIARA’s erosion control system suitable for application to drainage, river and estuary bank erosion control. Erosion of drainage channel banks is a common phenomenon and when control is needed then the Kiaramat offers a practical cost effective solution. Kiaramat can be easily transported to site and filled with either locally derived sand or other material for an environmentally friendly aesthetic erosion resistant surface protective cover.
The installation of Kiaramat is easy and fast when compared to the alternative hard structure concrete or stone options. And with time, natural vegetation colonizes the surface of the mat providing a soft green cover with all the properties of a highly erosion resistant surface.
Kiaramat is a double layered product made of polypropylene woven geotextile with the layer needle punched with green fibre to provide aesthetic appearance upon installation. The two layers are stitch at intervals together to provide channels for pumping of sand. The panels are joined together by stitching on site to form a continuous piece of Tubular Sand Filled Mattress. |
